iX STANDS FOR RACIAL EQUALITY
There has been a lot published on the topic of race in the wake of murders of Black people in the United States. George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor are the most public examples of those who lost their lives to acts of racism, but they are only the most recent.
There has been racist violence worldwide for many years, but mobile technology is allowing it to be recorded in real time and is forcing us all to review who we are as individuals and who we want to be as a global community.
The sickness that allows someone to extinguish a life in full view of others is only half the problem - the other half is the indifference that empowers it to continue. It is not enough to not be a racist, to take a passive position, we must be anti-racist and we must be active.
Our first value as a company is “Win Together”. iX.co is an open and collaborative environment where we work together, share ideas, and educate each other. To be truly great as an organization we must also insist on unity, empathy, and humanity.
Maya Angelou, an American poet and civil rights activist once said, "I think we all have empathy. We may not have enough courage to display it.” It’s time for each of us to discover that courage in our own way, and be part of the solution.
Our belief is that this very dark period in world history will be followed by a new era of prosperity and lasting change. We hope to provide a foundation for each of you to find a way to contribute to that change.
